Frank G. Gamez

Frank G Gamez of Granger, TX formerly of Taylor, TX returned to our lord Saturday May 23, 2015. He was born in Thrall, Texas on July 31, 1937 to Claudio and Concepcion Gamez. Frank married the love of his life Ortencia Dominguez, in Taylor on April 19, 1959. Frank served with honor in the Army National Guard he worked for Alcoa for 20years in Rockdale TX. Frank spent his last year as a ranch landowner he loved his wife and family, his cows and his casino trips. He loved gardening and driving around on his gator with Orentcia by his side every day.

Frank is survived by his wife Ortencia, his three daughters Lupe Hernandez and Robert of Round Rock, TX, Renee Gamez of Taylor, TX and Cynthia Gamez of San Antonio, TX. Four sons Arthur Gamez and wife Letecia of San Marcos, TX, Joe Gamez and wife Tina of Elgin, TX, Patrick Gamez and wife Donna of Taylor, TX and James Gamez of Granger, TX. He had 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Claudio and Concepcion; eldest daughter Anna Maria Gamez; sisters Katarina and Gregoria, brothers Secundino and EG Gamez.

Visitation and rosary will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 beginning at 6pm and rosary at 7pm at Providence Funeral Home 807 Carlos Parker Blvd NW, Taylor TX 76574. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 at SS Cyril Methodius Catholic Church 105 N Guadalupe Street, Granger, TX 76530. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Taylor.
