Cynthia “Cindy” Piersol Dicks, age 54 a longtime educator in the Round Rock School System lost her yearlong battle to cancer. She passed away on May 4, 2015, at the age of 54 with her family and friends by her side.
Cindy was the beloved wife of Paul Dicks and loving mother of Stacy Dicks Scarborough (Brandon) and Alex. She is also survived by her mother Nancy Piersol and brothers James (Christine), Robert (Nancy) and Thomas (Rebecca) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Cindy was raised in Miami, Florida, where she graduated from Palmetto High School in 1978. She then continued her education earning a Bachelors in Education from the University of Texas. She spent her entire career in early education. Her goal was to enrich the life of every child she encountered. She not only accomplished her goal but exceeded it for a full 30 years. A
Celebration of Life in her honor will be held Saturday May 9th from 1:00 to 3:00pm at Bethany United Methodist Church on Anderson Mill Road.
