Rosella Rieger

Rosella Rieger, 80, of Taylor, TX passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015. She was born on February 24, 1935 to Frank Burk and Eva Morris Burk in Portland, Oregon. Rosella graduated from Gresham High School outside of Portland in June, 1953. She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in the summer of 1953, and achieved the rank of Airman First Class before being discharged in October, 1956. While in the military, Rosella met Reginald Rieger at Selfridge AFB near Detroit and they were married on September 22, 1956.

Rosella was a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell for 11 years and a Teacher’s Aide for the Taylor I.S.D. for 30 years.

Rosella is survived by her husband, sons, Jason Rieger, Rory Rieger and wife Valerie, grandchildren Dillon Rieger, Nathan Rieger, Megan Rieger and Jarrod Rieger, a brother Gilburt Burk and wife Stephanie and a sister Idamae Burk Green.

Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery, Thorndale, TX.
