Lena Marie Leschber

Lena Marie Leschber, 99, of Taylor, TX passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Lena was born to Alfred and Lydia (Teggeman) Walther on October 13, 1915 at New Bern Community, Taylor, TX. She was baptized on November 28, 1915 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sandoval, TX and was confirmed November 25, 1928 at St. John Lutheran Church (Detmold), Thorndale, TX. Lena joined St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor, TX in 1945 and remained a membe r there.

On June 29, 1937 Lena married Oscar Leschber at St. John Lutheran Church (Detmold), Thorndale, TX. She was a housewife, worked 20 years for Civil Service and 15 years as the bookkeeper for Taylor Builders.

Lena was predeceased by her husband of 29 years. She is survived by her son Ervin Wayne Leschber and wife Judy of Fort Worth, grandchildren Shana Hansen and husband Mickey of San Antonio, Corby Leschber and wife Lisa Faith of Houston, Chris Leschber and wife Martha of Fort Worth, five great-grandchildren Marin and Dane Hansen, Emily Leschber, and Faith and Remmie Leschber, and brother Eric Walther of Dallas.

Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 P.M., Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 16, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel.
