Ryan Eugene Grace, 37, of Taylor, Texas, went to heaven on March 9, 2015.
He was born October 11, 1977, to Beverley and Craig Grace, from Taylor, Texas.
Ryan graduated with honors from Thrall High School in 1996. Upon high school graduation, he followed his math/computer interest, fostered early on by Mom, to attend Howard Payne University and later completed his Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology at Blinn Junior College with Phi Theta Kappa Honors. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southwest Texas State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2001 and achieved lifetime membership to Beta Gamma Sigma due to high academic honors.
Ryan began his career as a Systems Analyst at Samsung, Austin, and continued in the same capacity at Ercot, Taylor. Following this, he was employed by Dell Computer as a Principle Software Engineer until the time of his passing.
Being raised a tried-and-true Texas Longhorn with burnt orange blood, Ryan expressed a passionate interest in sports at a very early age, especially baseball, where he was coached by Dad until he began his high school career. He was an avid sportsman and had a deep love of animals, which led him to train and participate in AKC and HRC Hunt Tests with his 3-time National Champion black lab, “Reed”, who achieved National Hall Of Fame honors this past fall.
Ryan is survived by his seven-year-old daughter, Madison Leann Grace, who he loved dearly; his parents, Beverley and Craig Grace of Taylor; his grandparents, Edward and Virginia Michalik of Granger; as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins who he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, June and Reverend Arthur Saxton-Williams of Alpine, Texas, and his step-grandmother, Dorothy Saxton-Williams of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
