Roy William Finn

Roy W. Finn, 83, of Hutto, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Friday, January 16, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life Services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor, TX with Pastor Bobby Niemtschk officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Roy William Finn was born January 31, 1931 to Willie and Annie Finn in Taylor, Texas. He married Ireva Faye Riethmeyer and their marriage was blessed with five wonderful children. Roy was a lifelong and faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylor and served on various boards through the years. He always had a strong and unwavering heart for his Lord and Savior, and was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and brother. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War, and had a 35 year career in metallurgy with Alcoa. In his spare time he enjoyed time and travel with his family, cattle ranching and often gave of his time, money and many talents to help others both in the local community and internationally through various mission trips abroad. He will be greatly missed by his many loving family members and friends.

Roy is preceded in death by his wife Ireva, as well as boh his parents and brother Lee Roy Finn.

Roy is survived by his loving children, Mike Finn and fiance Kathrine Lawhon; Duane Finn and wife, Marcia; Sherryl Kruse and husband, David; Kelly Finn and wife, Lori; Darryn Finn and wife, Carla; grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel, and Bradley Finn; Abigail, Roy, and Max Finn; Adam and Brandon Kruse; Maverick and Kassidy Finn; Linsie and Tyler Finn; great grandchildren, Skylar, Kip and Harrison Kruse, Benson Finn; sister Barbara Marburger, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers include Roy’s Grandsons Adam Kruse, Brandon Kruse, Bradley Finn, Maverick Finn, Tyler Finn, Roy W. Finn Jr., and Max Finn. Honorary pallbearers include nephews Galyon Finn, Terry Finn, Robert Marburger, David Riethmeyer and Jay Riethmeyer, and dear friends Harold Fisher and Clarence Marxx.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 3505 N. Main St., Taylor, Texas 76574 in Roy's memory.
