Ruth Thiele

Ruth Laverne Thiele, 82, of Coupland, Texas was called home to The Lord and to be with her husband Edgar Thiele on January 13, 2015. She was born July 19, 1932 to Ernest and Lena Mager. Ruth and Edgar were married on November 23, 1950.

Ruth was a life long member of St. Peter's Church of Coupland. She served with Pastors Aid and was also a Sunday school teacher. Playing dominoes and laughing with friends was her favorite past time. She was a founding member of the Coupland 42 domino group. Throughout her life she served as a Judge of Elections, was a Gold Circle Member of the Ladies VFW Post 6115 and an active classmate in the Taylor Class of 1949. She joined the Son's of Hermann on October 4, 1964. Ruth received the Humanitarian Award from her lodge in December of 2014. She loved farming with her husband and going to the Opry in Thorndale.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Edgar, parents Ernest and Lena Mager, sisters Baby Girl Mager and Katherine Marie Mager.

She is survived by her special son Joshua Wells of Allentown, PA along with his wife Katie and two children Casey and Annabelle; special niece Anna Marie Wolbrueck of Round Rock, TX and her husband David and daughter Kristel with son Zane; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Peter's Church of Coupland. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Coupland.
