Estella Hargers was born to Houston and Helen Porter on November 26, 1919 in Limestone, Texas.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Prayer Mission Church of God in Christ of Thrall, Texas. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Taylor, Texas under the leadership of Dr. A.L. Watson Sr. (Pastor). She was a dressmaker and worked at Fashions of Texas for 25 years in Taylor, Texas.
She married Earnest Hargers on September 16, 1934 and this union included sixteen children. She is preceded in death by her husband Earnest Hargers, L.C. Hargers, Robert Hargers, Larry Hargers and Bobby Ray Hargers, Bernice Griffin, Allie Mae McNeal, Mattie Mae Griffin, two sisters; Mary Lou Tenele and Idella Cook, and two brothers; JB Porter and Robert Porter. She leaves to cherish precious memories: Helen Livingston of Denver, CO; Annie Marie Williams of Denver CO; Rosetta Pleasants of Austin, TX; Dorthy Ware of Thorndale, TX; Birdia & William Johnson of Hutto, TX; Earnestine & Vaughn McClendon of Hutto, TX; A.D. and Brenda Hargers of Lubbock, TX; Eugene & Carol Hargers of Taylor, TX; Curtis & Betty Hargers of Round Rock, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Home Going Celebration for the life of Mrs. Estella Hargers will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 300 North Robinson Street, Taylor, Texas.
