Rene Ramirez was surrounded by his loved ones as he departed to his eternal home on November 16, 2014.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Gudalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Rene was born July 28, 1962 in Grand Prairie, TX to Silverio and Amelia (Torres) Ramirez.

He is preceded in death by his father Silverio Ramirez.

Rene is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlene Ramirez; children, Ryanne Ramirez-Robles and husband Lee Robles, Rolando Ramirez and Ricardo Ramirez; his precious grandchildren, Laryssa Ramirez, Elysia and Devin Robles, Tyler, Sammie, Nicholas, and Nevaeh Ramirez, and Jordan and Elijah Ramirez; mother, Amelia Ramirez; his brothers, Sonny Ramirez and wife Julie, Larry Ramirez and wife Dannette; and sisters, Yves Pierce and husband Dave and Yvette Ramirez Hephner.

He was a man of many sayings and one that We will always remember is “It’s not what happens to you, it’s how you deal with it that matters most.”
