A beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend has completed her battle against cancer. Mary Stringer, 67, of Taylor, passed quietly in her sleep at her daughter's house early Saturday morning.
She spent the last half year battling cancer but will be remembered for the countless smiles she put on the faces of friends and family, right up to her very last breath.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Pilar and Guadalupe Trevino; her husband Hollis Edward Stringer II; sister Rosa Elsbree; brothers, Johnny Trevino and Hilario Trevino; grandson, Nicholas Costilla.
Surviving her are her five children; Felipe Lopez Jr. (Paty), Yolanda Lopez (Gilbert), Jaime Lopez (Tonia), Sherrie' Stringer, and Edward Stringer (Kati); sisters, Dominga Herrera, Feliz Torres (Martin),; brothers, Vicente Trevino (Summer) and Elpidio Trevino (Mary). Also missing her with their whole hearts will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Costilla, Jeremy Lopez, Trey Lopez, Justin Costilla, Matt Lopez, Adrian Costilla, Eric Costilla, Jacob Sanchez, and Son Edward Stringer.
A public visitation and Rosary will be held at Providence in Taylor, Tx, on Tuesday, November 11, from 6:00-8:00pm with the Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 12, at 10:00am,
She will be laid to rest alongside her deceased husband Thursday, November 13, at 9:00am at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
