Larry Cramer

February 4, 1950 — September 16, 2014

TAYLOR West Texas boy comes home to rest. Larry Cramer rode off into the sunset on Sept. 16, 2014, at home with his loving wife at his side. He was born Feb. 4, 1950, in EL Paso, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeannette and Raymond Cramer; and daughter Jenny.

He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth of many years; sister Irene of Georgia; father-in-law Elroy Lieberum of Thrall; sister-in-law Eugenia Ohe and husband Drake; niece Camryn Ohe and nephew Davis Ohe of Pflugerville.

Larry as a young lad had a newspaper route he delivered for the Standard-Times. He delivered papers before and after school. He also delivered hot fresh doughnuts door-to-door for the Snowflake doughnut bakery two days a week. The money he made was used to support himself. As a young man, he wrote articles for newspapers across the country on many subjects. Larry worked with the West Texas Boys Ranch for over 30 years. He helped with many different projects over the years that would help to benefit the boys. He also had an appreciation for the arts and believed it should be available for all to see, enjoy and appreciate. He worked on many different projects that were designed to help beautify the city of San Angelo. Larry was the type of person that will surely be missed.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor with internment at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, 4989 FM 1223, San Angelo TX 76905.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Texas Boys Ranch Foundation, P.O. Box 4077, San Angelo, Texas 76904-4077 in Larry Cramer's honor.
