Reynaldo Ramirez Treviño, age 50, passed away peacefully in his home on September 20, 2014. He was born October 6, 1963 in Austin, TX to Raymundo and Maria Teresa Treviño. He lived in Taylor, TX.
As an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he could tell you any stat from any game. He loved military history and would watch the History and Military channel any chance he could. Rey was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast and was his happiest on his motorcycle and an open country road.
Rey never met a stranger. He instantly became your friend and his charisma drew you to him. His friends and family were loyal and he would give them the shirt off his back if he knew they needed it. To him a contract was your word and a firm handshake. Rey’s infamous one liners and go to jokes were his trademark.
He helped to spearhead many benefit bike runs like toys at Christmas, medical benefits, and the Dias De Los Muertos run for the church. He was always the leader on the run. No one passed him. It wasn’t a rule, it was respect.
He is survived by his mother Maria Teresa Treviño, daughter Andrea Treviño-Vargas and son-in-law Tony Vargas, daughter Cynthia Treviño and son-in-law Kwame Thomas, daughter Kimberli Treviño Rincon and son-in-law James Rincon and grandchildren Josiah, Briella, Jade, and Levi Rey. As well as his brother Ray Treviño, sister Rosemary and husband Bill Hatfield, sister Denise and husband Mark Lockridge, brother Ruben Treviño, sister Aida Treviño, numerous nieces and nephews, and family friend Catherine Higgins. His honorary step children are Devin and Joey Galindo as well as grandchildren Jaden, Dresden, and Brooklyn.
Reynaldo was preceded in death by his father Raymundo Treviño and his grandparents Jose and Juanita Treviño and grandparents Ramon and Porfiria Ramirez.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, September 22, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
