Helen (Filla) Raesz

Helen Jane (Filla) Raesz, 73, of Coupland, TX passed away Monday, July 28, 2014.

Helen was born to Leo Ben and Vlasta Vera (Machu) Filla on April 18, 1941 in Granger, TX. She married Raymond Raesz and from 1980 to 2008 they were foster parents to approximately 125 children.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Antone Pavel.

She is survived by her husband, son Elton Raesz (Barbara) of Cedar Park, TX and daughters Karen Raesz of Georgetown, TX and Cynthia Lofgren (Sean) of Lewisville, TX. She is also survived by grandsons Jason Raesz (Danielle) of Temple, TX, Matthew Raesz of Cedar Park, Wells and Brody Lofgren of Lewisville, TX and granddaughters Stephanie Raesz of San Angelo, TX and Sadie Brown of Georgetown. Helen is also survived by her sister Irene Pavel of Granger, TX and brothers Leroy Filla and Milton Filla (Debbie) all of Granger, TX and Dan Filla (Helen) of Taylor, TX.

Pall bearers will be Glen Pavel, Chris Filla, Tommy Filla, Travis Filla, Larry Raesz and Arnold Raesz.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Taylor Brethren Church.

Burial will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, TX.
