Charlie Albert Cervenka passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014. He was born to Frank and Annie Cervenka August 26, 1934. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He served in the Army until he lost a brother, Frankie, to a train accident and returned home to care for his parents and younger siblings.
Charlie met and married the love of his life, Ruby Pustejovsky, and lived in Austin for many years. He returned to Taylor to open his own service station and raise his family. He loved to go fishing with his family and play dominoes.
Charlie is preceded in death by his loving daughter Carolyn Elaine Cervenka, his parents and two brothers Wesley Cervenka and Frankie Cervenka.
He is survived by his loving wife Ruby Cervenka of 52 years, son Charles Cervenka, 2 grandchildren Joey and Lainey, and six sisters Lydia Miller, Janie Stasny, Eleanor Cuzzort and husband Harvey, Ann Preusse, Mary Ann Bielss and husband John and Ella Beaver and husband Rick and many nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers will be Paul Cuzzort, Joseph Boswell, Rusty Strmiska, Michael Cervenka, Kelly Pustejovsky and Wesley Cervenka. Honorary pall bearers will be Jason Boswell and Wesley Beaver.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.
Celebration of Life Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
