Ednagene Schofman of Bal Harbour died peacefully in her home on June 13, 2014. Born and educated in Texas, Ednagene graduated from Southwest Texas University and did her graduate work at University of Texas and University of Miami.

Ednagene was a woman of great charm, beauty, and elegance. She channeled her vibrant energy into doing great work for her favorite charities such as Miami Children’s Hospital Auxiliary which named her their Queen of Hearts.

A longtime fixture on the Miami Social Scene, Ednagene was a former member of Barry University’s Board of Trustees and she and her husband, Jordan Davidson, established the First Endowed Chair at Florida International University where she served on the advisory board for the College of Arts and Sciences.

Ednagene was an active board member in the American Institute of Polish Culture, Grand Benefactor of the Greater Miami Opera Association, Miami City Ballet, The Vizcayans Committee of 100, and The Beautification Committee of Bal Harbour.

Ednagene was known for hosting many great parties at the Surf Club and LaGorce Country Club where she was a longtime member. She could be seen moving from table to table sparkling as she greeted longtime friends in her genteel southern style.

She is survived by her son, Paul Dudley Landrum (Karen) and grandson, Dr. Jason Landrum.

Funeral Services will be held in her hometown of Taylor, Texas at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Miami at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Miami Children’s Hospital or Florida International University’s Scholarship Fund.
