Ella Ellen Vitek Huser, 91, of Granger, Texas, passed away on May 13, 2014 at Granger Villa. A loving wife, mother and delightful grandmother, she devoted her life to serving others and caring for her family. She, along with her late husband, modeled for their children lives of selflessness, gratitude and strength of character. She lived her life as a testimony of her profound faith. Her sweet, caring spirit and beautiful warm smile endeared her to everyone she met.
An excellent cook and gracious hostess she welcomed friend and stranger to her table with a memorable meal and warm hospitality. Her greatest pleasure, however, was hosting big family gatherings for Sunday lunch and holidays.
In addition to all the family meals she prepared, she worked in food service at Austin I.S.D., Taylor I.S.D. and Southwestern University in the Commons and Snack Bar.
Ella was born November 16, 1922 in Granger, Texas to Louis and Annie (Stasny) Vitek. She grew up in the Granger area and graduated from Granger High School in 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, her parents and two brothers, Louis, Jr. and Marvin.
Blessed with six children, she often said that her kids were her life. She is affectionately remembered by her five daughters, Ellen Hodon and husband Jerry of Taylor, Texas, Donna Tallas and husband, Tommy of San Angelo, Texas, Ruth Kirk of Taylor, Suzanne Huser of Granger, Texas and Barbara Lawrence and husband Stephen of Wichita Falls, Texas and one son, Joe J.
