Kelly W. Noel of Austin, TX passed away on April 26, 2014 when his life was tragically taken.
Kelly was a devoted son, accepting responsibility for taking care of his father, Richard, after he suffered a stroke 10 years ago. He also dropped everything to be there for his mother, Pamela, and siblings, Sarah and Kim, when they needed him. He was a very private person with a wicked and wry sense of humor that he shared freely with those he loved. He was a funny, thoughtful, and caring person who will not be forgotten and will always be a part of our lives and hearts.
Kelly graduated from Leander High School and has been employed at Dell computers in Round Rock as a Services Supply Chain Consultant for the past 15 years. Kelly’s character and dry humor touched everyone he worked with. He was a multiple award winning employee for his numerous contributions to helping Dell customers and his colleagues alike. Kelly’s positive impact and sheer delight to work with left an indelible mark, one which can never be replicated.
Kelly is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah and Carol (Jack) Noel and Lois and Jerome Harper of East Moline, Illinois; uncle, Randy Noel of Davenport, IA and aunt, Robin Noel of Rockford, Ill. He is survived by his father, Richard Noel of Austin, TX; his mother, Pamela Bachmayer and stepfather Harlan of Coupland, TX; his older sister, Kim Collins and husband Adam of Liberty Hill, TX; and his younger sister, Sarah Juranek and husband Michael of Taylor, TX; nephews, Kyle Tolbert and Taylor Collins; and nieces, Katlynn Collins and Preslie Juranek; plus numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kelly had a variety of interests including family, computers, photography and music. He was very creative and intuitive, often recognizing needs and finding solutions for those needs, often just for his own enjoyment or satisfaction. He was always delighted when others appreciated and recognized his efforts. His talents with the computer started in high school when he and his mother ran a local BBS on an old Dell 386 with a 40 mg HD. Even then, he began writing short programs to help streamline the BBS. It was a natural progression from there to working for Dell, which he loved.
Music was always a part of his life. When he was still a toddler, his parents took him and his siblings down to Auditorium Shores every Wednesday night for the free concerts. At home, he grew up listening to his parents' vinyl records every day which he eventually hijacked and made his own. It was no surprise when he stated that he wanted to live in Austin, where the music was such a vital part of the culture.
He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
