Ethel Jenkins

Ethel Florence Jenkins (Meme) died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on April 21, 2014 at age 94.

Ethel was born on October 29, 1919 to Watt and Lena Smith and was the first of four children in a family that was always full of fun, love and devotion to each other.  Ethel lived for her children and grandchildren.

Ethel was married to James Byrem Jenkins and had three beautiful children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Martha Carr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Jim Bilger, her son and daughter-in-law, James and Chris Jenkins, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A private family graveside service will be held in Florence on Thursday, April 24, 2014. A memorial service will be scheduled in Taylor in early May.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church, 701 Davis Street, Taylor, Texas 76574.
