Bruce Edward Engles, 56, of Taylor, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 11th. He was born to Horton and Lorraine (Josiger) Engles in Beloit, WI on December 17, 1957. He was a 1975 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1975-1981 and graduated with a BSEE with a concentration in Integrated Circuit Design.
Bruce was employed by Motorola from 1981-2002 as a Senior Project Engineer where he designed memory chips. He was awarded nine patents during that time. He was the Owner and Operator of Brushy Bottom Operating Company (BBOC). Bruce raised Angus cattle and harvested hay for sale and distribution to local area farmers. He liked to country western dance, play the guitar and listen to heavy metal music.
Bruce is survived by family including a son, Keelson Engles (Hutto, TX); mother, Lorraine Engles (St. Louis, MO); sister, Kathryn (Kirk) Lindsay (St. Louis, MO); brother, Mark (Penny) Engles (Laporte, TX); niece, Amy Lindsay, (St. Louis, MO); nephews, Marshall and Daniel Engles (LaPorte, TX) and Matthew Engles (Dallas, TX). He is also survived by his girlfriend, Angela Cureton (Taylor, TX).
He was preceded in death by his father, Horton Engles, and infant brother, Marshall Engles.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd., Taylor, Tx., (512) 352-5909 with the Rev. Charles Benificio officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Wausau, WI.Visits: 0
