Jenny M. Terpenning

JENNY MARIE DICKEY TERPENNING
July 19, 1978 – January 18, 2014

Jenny Marie Terpenning was called Home to be with her Lord at the age of 35, after an 8 year battle with brain cancer. She was a fighter from the beginning. She was our hero! Jenny was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, niece and cousin who will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, Jim and Lorene Dickey and James and Emma Singleton, and her father-in-law, William Terpenning, Sr.
Jenn, as most called her, attended United Day School, and graduated from St. Augustine High School. She went directly to Austin, taking classes at Austin Community College while working at the same time. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon.
During and after graduation, in Eugene, she worked at the University as a research assistant, interviewing and testing pilots to find causes of plane crashes.
After her husband graduated, they moved to Austin, and later to Hutto, TX, just east of Round Rock. Jenny worked with the Round Rock Police Department as an investigative assistant.
She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Terpenning, Jr. and their 4-year-old daughter, Addison; her parents, Jay & Tennie Dickey; her Mother-in-law, Kathy Terpenning; her two brothers and their wives, Christopher and Toni GauthierDickey and James & Bethany Dickey; two nieces, Samantha and Kyra GauthierDickey, and numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins.
Viewing service will be held at Discovery United Methodist Church in Hutto, Monday, 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at the same church, Tuesday, 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, you are asked to make donations to Discovery United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 426, Hutto, TX 78634
