Elsie Rose Krueger

Elsie R. Krueger, 102, of Taylor passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home, officiating will be Reverend Beth Graham. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Elsie was born December 2, 1911 in the Circleville community to John and Frances (Woytek) Janota. She graduated from the Taylor High School in 1931.
She was a resident of Taylor for over 70 years and a member of First Christian Church (United Church of Christ) for 70 years. Elsie was an avid square dancer and a member of the SPJST Lodge #29 and Johns Community Hospital Auxillary. Elsie always brought joy and laughter to anyone around her and always celebrated life

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie; daughter, Nanette; brothers, Edwin, Fred, Thomas, and John Janota; and infant sister, Sylvia Janota.

Elsie is survived by her sister, Grace Brown of Mesquite; sister-in-law, Cora Janota of San Antonio; son-in-law, Marvin McVay of Taylor; granddaughters, Tracy Kerzee and husband Bob of Taylor and Tammy Langford of Taylor; great grandchildren, Heath Scruggs, Cody Burns, Courtney Reyes, Kalli Sansom, and Shelby Langford; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Janette Polach for her tender loving care and to her Bridge Club members for never letting her forget how to play bridge.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Staff at SPJST Senior Care for their special love and care for Elsie.
