Lorenzo Luna Duran

September 5, 1947 — September 4, 2013

Lorenzo “Larry” Luna Duran born September 5, 1947, a loving husband, devoted brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully September 4, 2013 surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Gregoria A Duran and father, Jose J. Duran; infant brother, Geronimo Duran, and sister-in-law, Sylvia H. Duran.

Larry is survived by his wife Anne Cook; three sisters, Matilda, Lupe, and Teri; five brothers, Juan, Pablo, Lucio, Jose, Jesse, and their spouses Janie, Mary, Becky, and Michael; 19 nieces and nephews; 42 great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew.

Larry enjoyed playing tennis, golf and looked forward to the Family’s Annual “Cinco De Mayo” Menudo Cook-Off Competition. He was also a wine connoisseur.

We all loved him dearly and our lives are better and enriched because of him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, September 9, 2013 at Providence Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.

Celebration of Life Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, TX. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
