Consuelo "Connie" Subia Carrizales

Consuelo (Connie) Subia Carrizales died peacefully at her home on Monday, August 26, 2013. She was 90 years old. She was born August 4, 1923 in Marfa, Texas to Maria and Manuel Subia.

While in Powell, Wyoming, she married the love of her life, Ambrosio (Bob) Carrizales on August 29, 1941. They started a family in Taylor, Texas and had 7 children.

Connie was a devoted Catholic at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and loved to travel - especially to visit her sisters and brothers in Idaho, Washington and California.

She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She always wore a warm smile in her face and loved to cook for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ambrosio and grandchildren Jonathan Carrizales and Deanna Zavala. She is survived by her daughters, Enrica Zavala and husband Ernest, Esther Bega and husband Pete, sons, Eddie and wife Alice, Ernest and wife Terri, Emilio and wife Anne, Elvino and Enrico. 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
