Frank John Danek, Sr., 84 years old, went home to Our Lord on July 24, 2013 in Houston, Texas
Frank was born on April 18, 1929 to Rudolph Danek and Mary Darilek Danek in Taylor, Texas. He worked in the family business – Taylor Meat Market and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Business. Frank left Taylor and worked for tire companies before finally settling in Houston in 1965. He was an independent tire distributor until 2010. His hobbies throughout his life were hunting, fishing and love for the hill country.
In December 1949, Frank married Laura Mae Miksch and had 3 children: Rebecca Long and husband Bill Cox from Corpus Christi, Texas; Melissa Hutson and husband Jack, grandson Jimmy and great-grandson C.J. from Katy, Texas; and Frank Danek, Jr. and wife Nancy, granddaughter Jenny and husband Lee Winkelman, great-grandchildren: Avery and Kate, grandson Chad and wife Jennifer, great-grandchildren: Madison and Will.
Frank is predeceased by his parents Rudolph and Mary Danek and brothers Rudy and Edward.
On Father’s Day Frank expressed to his children: Love God, love one another and be happy.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Providence Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.
Celebration of Life Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 29, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
