Celia F. Correa, age 91 of Taylor, died Monday, May 13, 2013. Celia was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered as a gentle and kind woman with an independent spirit and a strong faith in God.
Celia loved visiting with her extensive family and friends especially her special angel, Judie Adams and spent her time challenging her mind with word find puzzles. She enjoyed the beauty of her flower garden and was so proud when she was recognized for yard of the month in 1987. She was a devoted member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church and prayed her rosary daily and this devotion and faith carried her to God in the end.
Celia is preceded in death by husbands, Milton Olivarez and Lazaro Correa Sr., son, Manuel Olivarez, sister, Eva Villarreal, and step son, Lazaro Correa Jr.
She is survived by her children; Lucia Lopez and Adelina Ortiz, step-children; Jessie Correa, Frankie Correa, and Anita Chapa, siblings; Carmen Elizondo, Ofelia Torres, Esther Martinez, Roger Flores, and Robert Castillo, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
While we will miss our dear mother, grandmother and friend, we take comfort in knowing she is now with her Lord.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd. Taylor, TX. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 18, 2013 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 408 Washburn, Taylor, TX.
Burial to follow at St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Coupland, TX.
