Wanda Joyce Gould

October 28, 1954 — April 28, 2013

This world was only a layover until GOD saw fit to call Wanda home to be with HIM. She toiled long and faithful until she heard her Master’s voice say “Well done thou good and faithful servant, Well done”. On the sunset of April 28, 2013 she took a hold of her Master’s unchanging hand, trading this worldly shell for a long white robe, with streets paved in gold to be in the presence of our LORD and Savior where she can sing his praises forever.

Wanda Joyce Gould was born on October 28, 1954 to the union of Clint and Elnora Thomas Sr.in Taylor, TX. Wanda dedicated the majority of her life working in the Nursing field and caring for others. She was raised in Christ all her life and accepted HIM at a young age. A diligent worker in The First Baptist Church, she worked in the Mission and Youth Ministries and enjoyed singing in the TFBC Choir. Singing for the LORD was her passion and she was always a willing vessel to be used at HIS will.

In her years upon this earth, she became wife to Arthur Gould Jr. on May 1st 1981. To this relationship, four children were brought up in the ways of the Lord, three daughters and one son. Preceding her in death are her parents and her sisters: Juanita Kelly and Diantha McFarland, one brother Clint Thomas Jr. and one granddaughter Winter Gayle Sorrels.

She leaves a legacy of Love bestowed upon her loving husband, Arthur, of 32 years and four children: Bridgette Guice, Bryan & Eve Coleman, Belinda Coleman, Edward & Lorna Crawford, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her sisters: Valree Seth (John), Ruby Zachary (Donnie Sr.), Francis Gaines, Eloise Washington, Willie Hargers (Robin), Brenda Jefferson (Robert) and Pearlie Godbolt (Sylvester); and a host of nieces and nephews and a multitude of loving relatives and friends that she touched in her days on this earth.

Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 4, 2013 at The First Baptist Church, Taylor, TX. Burial to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
