Mamie Segura, 69 of Taylor, TX passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2013.
Mamie was born March 2, 1944 to Martin and Dora Nuncio in Dallas, TX.
She retired from the City of Taylor in 2006 after 10 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and the Guadalupanas. Mamie loved Elvis and had an extensive collection of Elvis memorabilia. Mamie enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles in her pastime. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Antonio Segura, Sr.; two sons Antonio Segura Jr. (Monica) of Taylor and Steven Segura of Galveston; two step-sons Gene Segura and Michael Segura of Austin; one step-daughter Pat Castro (Michael) of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Antonio Segura, III and Giovanni Ruiz, three step-grandchildren Michael and Shawn Segura of Austin and Jeffery Castro of Taylor; four brothers David Nuncio, Adolph Nuncio, Frank Nuncio and Martin Nuncio (Colleen) of Dallas, one sister Mary Lopez of Dallas, one sister-in-law Dora Barratachea (Refugio) of Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., March 6, 2013 at Providence Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Mass will be 2:00P.M., March 7, 2013 at Providence Funeral Home .
