Tina “Tinie” Guajardo Blain passed on to heaven Friday, December 14, 2012 at 47 years of age in Atlanta, GA following a courageous battle with cancer.
Tina was born on August 23, 1965 in Taylor, TX to Steven and Augustina Guajardo. There, she attended Taylor High School where she was an honor student and was named Taylor High School citizen of the month. Tina attended the University of Texas at Austin and St. Edward’s University, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies in order to pursue a career in criminal justice.
For many years she worked with the U.S. Attorney’s office within the Department of Justice where she assisted the FBI with many cases, and more recently she was employed as a paralegal with Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial in Atlanta, GA.
Tina is survived by her parents, Steven and Augustina Guajardo, of Taylor; sister, Margaret McLellan and brother-in-law Kevin, of Round Rock; brother, Steven Guajardo and sister-in-law Andrea, of San Antonio; as well as nieces Stephanie and Alexandra, and nephew Aidan.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 12 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home 807 Carlos Parker Blvd., NW, Taylor, TX 76574, followed by a graveside interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery 501 Old Thorndale Rd, Taylor, TX. A reception follows interment at the Knights of Columbus Hall 2201 East 4th Street, Taylor, TX
