Juanita DelaRosa, age 96, of Taylor, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 11, 2012. Juanita, or known as Grandma by all, was loved and cherished by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of music and dancing. She loved to adorn herself with jewelry, fine clothes, and perfumes. She was a devoted mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Preceliana DelaRosa, Angelita Trevino, Virginia Rodriguez and brothers, Sam DeLaRosa and Chico DelaRosa.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Alice Ruiz, and husband Manuel Ruiz. Her Granddaughter, Debra Ortiz and husband Marco Ortiz. Her Grandsons, Daniel Ruiz, David Ruiz and wife, Celsa Ruiz, Manny Ruiz and wife, Carrie Ruiz. Her Great-Grandchildren, Tiffany Ruiz, Alec Ruiz, Brianda Ruiz, Aaron Ruiz, Krista Ortiz, Kasandra Ortiz, Adrian Ruiz, Allyson Ruiz and Tyson Ruiz. Also surviving her, sister Eugenia Vargas. And many dear nieces and nephews.
You will be in our hearts, minds, and memories forever, We love you Mom, Grandma and Abuelita.
Visitation will be 5-7PM Wednesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 15, 8-8:30 at Providence Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7pm, Wednesday. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 15, at 10AM, at St Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Lonnie Urban officiating.
