Richard "Sonny" W. Hutchinson

Richard “Sonny” W. Hutchinson, 96, of Granger passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Granger Villa Nursing Home.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Granger City Cemetery.

Richard was born April 29, 1916 in Salado, TX. To Clarence and Emma (Wills) Hutchinson. He served in the United States Navy for six years and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. Richard was a Lifetime Member of the Pearl Harbors Survivors. He was married to his wife Myrtle on March 4, 1943. He enjoyed reading and gardening.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife Myrtle Maxine Hutchinson, and six brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughters, Carol Kubicek and husband Benny of Portland, TX., Debbie Wright and Linda Harris both of Granger; one sister, Marion Hutchinson of Cameron; 5 grandchildren, Brittney Ivie, Greg Kubicek, Kimberly Harris, James Wright, and Chris Wright.
