Steven Michael Gore

A Memorial Service for Steven Michael Gore, 47, of Taylor will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 701 Davis, Taylor, TX.

Steven was born March 3, 1965 at England Air Force Base in Alexandria, LA. He lived in Taylor as a small child before settling in Baytown where his father was a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper.

During his childhood, Steven and his brother Brian enjoyed building and launching model rockets with their Dad. On windy days, pulled by a parachute which their Dad brought back to them from his stint in Vietnam, the two boys wore out the wheels on their skate boards.

Steven is a graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown. While in high school, he worked in his parents’ business, Karmel Korn, at the San Jacinto Mall. It was at an early age Steven showed an outstanding work ethic and loyalty to his employers.

Most of his adult life he worked for Dodson Global in Pearland. The Dodson Global family was a big part of his life. He thoroughly enjoyed his job and co-workers.

He is preceded in death by his mother Katie Gore; his grandparents Nolan and Edna Rohlack, Margie and Emil Zycha, and Willie Ralph Gore; and uncle David Threadgill.

Steven is survived by his son David Michael Gore of Crosby; his daughter Sarah Gore of Crosby; his father and step-mother Willie and Louise Gore of Taylor; brother and sister-in-law Brian and Debbie Gore of Fulshear; niece Kaleesue Gore of Fulshear; and nephew Christopher Gore of Fulshear. He is also survived by aunts and uncles Sherry and Ruben Sladek, Dean and Sharrion Threadgill, and Sharon and James Campbell all of Taylor, and Charlotte and Clint Howell of Austin. A number of cousins also survive.
