Alta F. Cotten

Alta Faye Cotten, 88, of Taylor formerly of Temple passed away September 7, 2012 in Temple. She was born July 1, 1924 in Myra, Texas to Delila & Herbert Scott.
Alta was a member of Commerce Street Church of Christ in Gainesville for over 40 years.
She is survived by her daughters; Ann Cotten-DeGrasse and her husband, Antonio of Riverhead, New York, Jane Thompson and her husband, Robert of Sherman, TX, and Joan Cabaniss and her husband, William of Taylor, TX; brother-in-law, Carl S. Cook of Coleman, TX and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Alta is preceeded in death by her husband; Ernest O. Cotten, parents, Delila Ellen & Herbert Elvis Scott, brother, Joe Scott and her sister, Flo Bell Cook.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home Taylor, Texas
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Valley View Memorial Cemetery in Valley View, Texas
