Demetrio “Dee” Vasquez, 74, died August 5, 2012, in his home with his family by his side in Taylor, TX. He was born on December 22, 1937 in Thorndale, TX.
Dee, as everyone knew him by, was a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend to many. He served in the army back in 1956 and loved the outdoors and had a passion for deer hunting.
He is survived by his daughters Martha Vasquez, and Reyes Pacheco and husband Adelfo Pacheco, His sons, Paul Vasquez, Adam Vasquez and Peter Ray Vasquez. He had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also survived by his three sisters, Guadalupe V. Rodriguez from Georgetown, Linda Rodriguez from Taylor and Norberta Vasquez from Austin. His four brothers, Johnny Vasquez from Taylor, Inez Vasquez from Taylor, Francisco Vasquez from Mission Viejo, CA, and Lupion Briones from Smithville.
He is preceded in death by his wife Eustacia Vasquez, his parents Luz and Lucia Vasquez, and his brothers Cipriano “Gordy” Vasquez and Joseph Vasquez.
Memorial services will be held on August 8, 2012 at 7pm at the Providence Funeral Home and funeral services will be on August 9, 2012 at 10am at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taylor TX.
