Victor Gilbert Waiser

Victor Gilbert Waiser, 86, was born May 26, 1926 and died June 19, 2012 at Scott & White-Taylor Hospital.

He was baptized June 6, 1926 by Rev. P.B. Miertschin and confirmed April 2, 1939 by Rev. F.H. Stelzer. Victor was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Thorndale and served 30 years as Church Trustee.

Victor served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. He was a board member of the Centex Oil Mill and Thorndale Coop Gin and Grain. In 1984, Victor received the Thorndale Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Farmer of the Year.

Victor is survived by his wife Mildred (Woelfel) Waiser; sons David Waiser and wife Sandra of Rockdale, TX, Raymond Waiser and wife Darlene of Thorndale, TX, and Douglas Waiser and wife Jana of Thorndale, TX; daughters Lucille Foglesong and husband Mel of Aurora, CO, and Virginia (Ginnie) Hodde of Thorndale, TX.

Victor is also survived by grandchildren Craig Waiser and wife Erica, Angela Waiser and fiancé Brad Leediker, Aron Thayne and husband Jeff, Tanya Staude and husband Jarod, Travis Waiser and wife Amy, Shane Waiser, Candace Kuhl and husband Kelly, Christa Waiser, Fredric Foglesong and Kalynn Hodde. He is survived by great-grandchildren Tyler Stuchley, Ethan Waiser, Ali Thayne, Mason, Alex and Trevor Staude, and Kaden Kuhl.

Pallbearers will be Craig Waiser, Travis Waiser, Shane Waiser, Fredric Foglesong, Kelly Kuhl, Jeff Thayne, Darell Towery and Jarod Staude.

Honorary pallbearers will be VFW members, Thorndale Coop coffee drinkers, James Lee Hilton, Buddy Johnson and Jeff Muegge.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 25, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Thorndale, TX. Burial to follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery with Navy Honors.
