Graveside Services for Jean Martinets, 83, of Taylor will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Granger City Cemetery in Granger. Mrs. Martinets went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 1, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to Eli and Clara Goss on April 7, 1929 in Granger. Jean married Frank E. Martinets, Jr. on August 28, 1949. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Granger, Texas. Jean worked as a Financial Counselor at Scott & White Clinic in Taylor for over 13 years. She also worked for the Granger Independent School District as an assistant in the administration office for Superintendent of Schools. She was a member of the Granger Tuesday Study Club for over 30 years. She enjoyed entertaining her friends and family. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother. Survivors include her husband Frank of 62 years; her children and their spouses Pam Taylor and husband Gordon, Peggy Marek, and Paula King and husband Bobby; four grandchildren Michelle Back, Shelley McGahey, Brandon Marek and Amy King Turner; and five great-grandchildren Madelyn McGahey, Ashley Campos, Lilliana Back, Cason Back and Mason Herbrich.
