Gilbert E. Melde

Gilbert E. Melde, 93, of Thorndale, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012. He was born February 15, 1919 in Thorndale to Oscar and Adele (Kiesling) Melde.

Gilbert is survived by his wife Frances (Hoes) Melde; daughters Dianne Wilkins and husband Richard, and Sharon Betak and husband Edward; sons Gilbert O. Melde and wife Jeanie, and Rickey Melde and wife Denise; grandchildren Terry Wilkins and wife Sheryl, Tami Kovar and husband Kelly, Edward Betak, Jr., Dean Betak and wife Lori, Lance Betak and wife Crispin, Misty Zieschang and husband Scott, Aaron Melde and wife Dawn, Abby Melde, Eric Melde, Jared Melde and Caleb Melde and wife Mackenzie; great-grandchildren Zack Wilkins, Hayden Wilkins, Kyler Kovar, Kelbi Kovar, Ty Kovar, Taryne Betak, Bradley Betak, Allison Betak, Chance Betak, Patrick Zieschang, Blake Melde, Brady Melde, Tyler Shillings, Harper Melde; and great-great grandchild, Jace Wilkins.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 4:30 P.M., Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Thorndale, TX. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
