Minerva G. Espinoza, 86, of Taylor passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Temple. Minerva was born June 1, 1925 to Rebecca and Modesto Garza in Laredo, Texas.

Minerva served as an LVN for Johns Community Hospital in Taylor; she also worked as a Teacher’s Aide for Taylor ISD and later retired as an Administrative Assistant for Williamson County Health Department.

She loved to sew, paint figurines, crafts, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She really enjoyed cooking for her granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Moses Espinoza of Taylor; daughters, Irma Gonzalez of Austin, Ophelia Ochoa and her husband Mike of Austin; granddaughters, Criselda Gonzalez and Selena E. Ochoa; brothers, Baldomero Galvan of Austin, and Baldemar Galvan of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Minerva is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Baltazar Galvan and Rosendo Galvan; and grandson, Miguel Orlando Ochoa.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Providence Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.

Celebration of Life Mass will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 25, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
