Doris I. Wright

Doris I. Wright, 93, of Taylor, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012.

Born May 15, 1918 in Bartlett, TX to Homer and Lola White Whitfield. Married J. L. Wright, Jr. on May 15, 1936. Lived in Bartlett, Granger, Taylor area all her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son J. L. Wright III, infant son Louis Wright, sisters Dorothy Sowell and Brooksie Culps, and infant brother Doyle Whitfield.

Was a member of Hadassah Chapter No. 188 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors:
Son James (Chunky) Wright and daughter-in-law Dorothy of Taylor; daughter-in-law Sandra Wright of Taylor; granddaughter Kim Torres and husband Alfred of Pflugerville; grandson Stephen Wright and wife Carrie of Nacogdoches; grandson Jimmy Wright and wife Kristen of Allen; grandson Phillip Wright of Houston; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Monte Lou Alspaugh of Grand Prairie and Arta Meta Henry of Highland Haven.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Bartlett City Cemetery in Bartlett, Texas.

Family wants to thank the staff of the Granger Villa for the wonderful care they provided Doris during her stay there.
