John loved oldies but goodies music, especially the Twist which he truly loved to dance that song with his wife. He loved looking at old cars and collected Hot Rod magazines. He could always walk up to a stranger and carry on a conversation and walk away having a new friend. John never took life for granted, and always lived life to its fullest.

John worked for Austin Bridge and Roads for 38 years as a Blademan Operator. He retired in June 2009. He was known as J.T. at work and maintained ongoing friendships with previous workers.

He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed but will be forever in our hearts.
