Birdie Faye Herzer-Eulenfeld was called home by her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2011. She was born October 22, 1923 to Annie Wentland Herzer and Fred William Herzer. She was blessed with 4 brothers William, Louis, Walter and Roy Herzer, one older sister Margaret Herzer Murchison and a twin sister Artie Mae Herzer Stauffer. Birdie was baptized in Thrall, Texas at St. John’s Lutheran Church. In 1964 Birdie, along with her sister Artie, fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening and managing one of the finest ladies clothing stores in Central Texas. The store was famously known as “The Twins Shop” and for 32 years this fine store brought people in from all over Central Texas to be catered to and dressed in the finest ladies apparel. Birdie loved each day she spent at her store and greeted each customer with warmth and grace. Birdie was united in marriage with Joe Eulenfeld in 1968. They were inseparable and their unwavering love, respect and complete devotion for each other was always apparent. Her loving husband Joe, brothers, sisters and parents preceded Birdie in death. She was the last sibling to be called home. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Birdie is survived by 2 brother-in-laws Bobby Eulenfeld and Norman Stauffer, two sister-in-laws Joyce Eulenfeld and Laverne Eulenfeld, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Cmerek, Robert Scruggs, Rick Moseley, George Cmerek, Willie Herzer and Tommy Schwartz.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
