Cecilia Marie (Dykowski) Hyzak Provaznik, 95, of Taylor, TX, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. She was born on September 22, 1916 in Chappell Hill, TX to Frank and Annie (Kopycinski) Dykowski. She married John Frank Hyzak Jr. on November 11, 1935. They lived and raised their 8 children on a farm NE of Granger. After John died in 1976, Cecilia married their mutual friend, John Provaznik, on December 1, 1979. They moved to Granger in 1986 and lived there until John died in 1996. Cecilia lived in her home in Granger until her health required her to move to the SPJST nursing home in Taylor where she remained until her death.

She is survived by 8 children, 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews in the Dykowski and Hyzak families.

Family visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2011,from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, TX. A Mass celebrating Cecilia's life will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at S.S. Cyril & Medhodius Catholic Church in Granger, TX with Father Joseph Nisari officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetary in Granger, TX.

Pallbearers are grandsons Ed Neal Jr., Michael Hyzak, Brian Averitt, Randy Hyzak, Danny Stefek Jr., Jonathan Hyzak, and Don Kaase.

Memorials may be given in memory of Cecilia to S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic School in Granger, TX or St. Mary's Catholic School in Taylor, TX.

The family would like to thank the staff of the S.P.J.S.T. for the loving care they gave their mother while she was a resident there.
