Raymond E. Stauffer

Raymond E. Stauffer, 83, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011.

Raymond was born on June 19, 1928 to Ernest Stauffer and Alvina Friemal Stauffer. Raymond married Mary Ann Matula on April 22, 1954. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage. He served four years in the United States Air Force, during the Korean conflict.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; son Michael R. Stauffer; brothers Erwin Stauffer, Sr. and wife Frankie, Clarence Stauffer and wife Vivian, and Roy Stauffer; and sisters Irene Klein and Dorothy Edwards and husband Wayne.

Raymond is survived by his wife; and daughters Debbie Gaswint and husband Buddy, and Carolyn Raesz and husband John, all of Taylor. Raymond is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Jason Gaswint and wife Rosemary, Jennifer Martin and husband Jason, Jillian Gaswint, Teri Hoffman and husband Justin, John Scott Raesz and wife Shala, and Laurie Raesz. He is survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Madison Martin, Natalie Martin, William Hoffman, Andrew Hoffman, George Hoffman, Katherine Hoffman and Cooper Raesz.

Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 P.M. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home. Deacon Gumie Gonzales will preside. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Gaswint, John Scott Raesz, Jason Martin, Larry Matula, Tom Kaspar and Erwin Stauffer. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Stauffer, Harry Stauffer and Werner Stauffer.
