Timothy M. Hajda, 68, went to his eternal home on Sunday, October 2, 2011. He passed away at his home in Taylor after a lengthy illness.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 7 pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Funeral Mass will be 10 am, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Taylor.
He was born on January 9, 1943 to Timothy and Edith (Naizer) Hajda in Taylor, Texas.
Tim grew up in the Granger Community and attended SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic School. He graduated from Granger High School in 1961. He met the love of his life, Paula Hyzak at her 16th birthday party and thus a long relationship began. They were married on October 17, 1964 in Frydek, Texas, a marriage of almost 47 years. This marriage was blessed with three beautiful children Bryan, Pamela and Sandra. Tim was a beloved husband, loving father and PoPo. He so loved spending time with his family and friends, but most of all he enjoyed being with his grandkids attending many of their activities and functions. Tim and Paula enjoyed working together on their farm and taking care of their cattle. They were always together. They loved listening to good ole Polka music and enjoyed dancing to it as well. In 1998, Tim retired as an iron worker from the local Iron Workers Union # 482. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the local Iron Works Union #482, St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus, The KJT, and Catholic Life.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tim is survived by his wife, Paula, his son, Bryan and wife Janice and their children, Megan and Timothy John “ T.J.” of Granger; daughters, Pam Vrabel and husband John and their daughters, Amber, Rachel and Sarah of Taylor and Sandra Kaderka and husband Roger and their children Joseph and Amanda of Taylor; his sister, Marcie Von Quintus and husband Harold of Round Rock; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
