Wilbert Weise

Wilbert “Uti” Otto Weise,81, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 in Taylor, Texas surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born to Herman and Louise (Winters) Weise on June 30, 1930 in Thorndale, Texas. “Uti” was Baptized, Confirmed and continued to be an active, lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorndale until health issues arose.
He graduated from Thorndale High School and continued his education at Blinn College to receive his BBA Degree. He then joined the Air Force. “Uti” worked several jobs but most of you remember him from his job at Carol’s.
On February 12, 1994 he married Ima Jean Beard and completed his family. He was a member of VFW Post 4009 and held several offices. He also held with the local Germania Insurance. “Uti” was honored when the Thorndale Chamber named him citizen of the year in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by wife; Ima Jean Weise, sister; Ruby Mueller and husband Marty, brother; Herman Weise and wife Loraine. He is also survived by his step-children, Kellye Pelzel, John Pelzel and wife Tracy, and Krystal Vickers and husband Mathew, 7 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandchild; 3 nephews, 3 nieces,5 great nephews, and 5 great nieces.
Serving as Pallbearers will be; Gary Weise, Ron Mueller, Rick Mueller, Paul Noyd, Harvey Roensch, and Billy Beard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home, Taylor.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale with burial following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
