Manuel F. Olivarez

Manuel F. Olivarez, age 70, of Taylor, died Saturday, September 17, 2011. He was a faithful son, devoted father, and a friend to many. Manuel was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be remembered for his friendly demeanor and his willingness to help others.

Manuel was enjoying retirement after working 40+ years as an automotive parts specialist and manager, and was recognized for his knowledge and expertise. He loved his family dearly and was especially fond of his granddaughter, Kennedy Kelly.

Manuel was preceded in death by his father Milton Olivarez. He is survived by his son Leonard Olivarez and wife Melinda; step-grandsons Sebastian and Richard, Jr.; daughter Tricia Hargrove and husband Stephen; granddaughter Kennedy Kelly; and mother Celia Correra. Other surviving family members include his sisters Lucille Lopez and husband Paul and Adelina Ortiz and husband Norman; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home.

Burial will be at St. Peter’s Church Cemetery in Coupland, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Roy Campos, Paul Lopez, Jr., Jimmy Chauarria, Cruz Salazar, Stephen Hargrove and Norman Ortiz.
