Lillian Tillis

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie and friend went home to be with Jesus on August 1, 2011. Lillian Lee Tillis (Dollie) was born in Hare, TX to the late Isaac Jones, Sr. and Beola Jones. She attended Blackshear/O.L. Price High School.

Lillian retired from Austin State School and Kenmar Residential Services.

She was preceded in death by her father Isaac Jones, Sr.; two brothers Isaac Jones, Jr. and Connie Mack Jones; two sisters Violetta Caldwell and Wanda Coombs.

Survivors include her mother Beola Jones; seven children – two sons Jerall Wayne Tillis (Esther) and Leonard Tillis (Dominique); five daughters Marcia Tillis, Debra Tillis, Wonda Harris (Kevin), Regina Tillis and Kathy Tuggle; Sandra Frank-Pittman, Beryl Harris, Larry and Reggie Caldwell, Linda Lewis and Karen K. Jones; sister Linda Nickels; and a special sister-in-law Betty Sims.

A special thanks to her dear friend Nancy Guthal of Clovis NM and to all the health care professions that were blessed to take care of Lillian. From the family of Lillian, we want to thank all of our dear friends and extended family – we love you.

Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, 701 Davis Street, Taylor, TX. Burial to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
