Darlene Hathaway

Darlene Hutson Hathaway, 57, joined her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2011, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born August 30, 1953 to Bennie Andrew and Dorothy L. (Stinson) Hutson.

Darlene is survived by her husband Bill M. Hathaway and children: Andrew Bell and wife Katherine, Paul Bell and wife Brilla, Matthew Bell, Amanda Massie, Angela Bell, and Lisa Wyatt and husband Chris; and step-children: Angie and Nikki Hathaway. She is also survived by her mother Dorothy Hutson; siblings: Larry, Treva, Bonnie, Darold, Harley, Vera and Richard. Darlene enjoyed her time with her 16 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ben Hutson and sister Virginia Joey Hutson.

Darlene began her battle with cancer 13 years ago while maintaining her career working for the State of Texas. She inspired many people throughout her life with her generosity and loving nature. She encouraged everyone “no matter what trials that come your way, look to the Lord as your Savior and fight to live as God would want.”

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Northview Christian Church, 2900 N. Main Street, Taylor, TX. Pastor Bill Ward will be officiating.

Darlene will be missed greatly by her friends, family and grandchildren.
