Doris Livingston

Doris Louise Livingston, 90, of Taylor passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 in Taylor.

Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Providence Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Egner officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Doris was born October 1, 1920 to Abram and Winnie Fannin in Dallas, Texas. She was kind and wonderful woman who was very active in her community and church, the First United Methodist Church in Taylor. She was a charter member of the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary in Taylor. Doris liked to play golf and even got a “hole in one”. She was married on February 18, 1939 to Leo L. Livingston at the Trinity Heights Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas

Doris was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leo L. Livingston.

She is survived by her son, David Livingston; niece, Linda Moncreif;, and special friends, Janie Whittley and Ernie and Marilyn Wright.

Pallbearers will be Clark Jackson, Ed Griffith, Fred Switzer, Rod Hortenstine, Kenneth Collins, and Gene Harkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lou Bergstrom, Ernie Wright, Dr. Crawford Daniel, Jodie Blaha, Dr. Nathan Cohen, Ed Komandosky, John Wehby, and Lester Stiles.
