Laura Doyle

Laura Marie Annie Doyle, of Taylor, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2011. She was born on June 2, 1920 in Williamson County.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylor. For over forty years, she worked in the restaurant and catering business. She enjoyed cooking and one of her great delights in life was preparing someone a meal. She was especially known for her homemade noodles and Mexican food. In 1960, she was presented with the Employee of the Year award by the Taylor Chamber of Commerce. Her outgoing personality and love of people contributed to her success as a business woman.
When Laura was not cooking, you could find her playing dominoes or card games. She kept her friends and family supplied with her crocheted dish cloths. Her home always had beautiful flowers or plants that reflected her green thumb.
Laura was very active and spent her last few days here living life to the fullest. She partied with friends at a luau on Saturday and, rumor has it, that she even did the limbo. This past Sunday she attended church with family and enjoyed the afternoon playing dominoes.

Laura is survived by two daughters, Carole Tucker of Leander and Jacqueline Dahl of Hutto; two sisters, Bernice Montgomery of Lake Conroe and Alice Frank of Lampasas; two brothers, Alfred Meiske of Taylor and Harvey Meiske of Kempner; two granddaughters, Kristi Reinach of Kyle and Brittany Morris of Crockett; and two great grandsons, Beau Reinach and Jeremiah Morris. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. – 12 Noon at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life services will also be held Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Chambers and Rev. Jack Bohls officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylor or Lighthouse Hospice in Round Rock.
