Jack Ray Garcia

Jack Ray Garcia, age 31, of Hutto, Texas came to rest on April 15, 2011. He was born on January 17, 1980 in Taylor, Texas. Jack was formally of Taylor and graduated from Taylor High School in 1998. He firmly believed “Once a Duck always a Duck”.
Jack was a fun-loving guy. His most personal and memorable features were his infectious smile and ability to make anyone and everyone he encountered smile. He loved to joke around and make people laugh. Jack was very family oriented- His 3 nieces and nephew were his pride and joy, but first and foremost came his loving Mother. He loved and adored her, as he did his siblings. Although he did not have children of his own, he was blessed to have the opportunity to have “Daddy like Duties” with his girlfriends 3 children. Each held a very special place in his heart-the way his face lit up when they were around was beyond any words. Jack enjoyed getting together with friends and family to watch sporting events, especially football. He was an avid Aggie and Redskin fan. He did have a competitive side to him when it came to games and things of that nature; however, his biggest competition was ….”Shorty, Jack’s twin sister! Who looked better? Who was smarter? Who was born first? Taylor or Thrall? Aggies or Longhorns? The list could go on! Brother, you win!! Jack also had the opportunity to learn his great work ethic at a very young age from his big brother Dino. Together they ran D & J Boot Shop. With sister Rose, he loved to give her a hard time! She was the big sister, he knew exactly how to push her buttons. Jack was at his best when he was with family and friends. Much time was spent with his 4 best friends, with whom he called brothers - “BJ,” Josh, Heath, and the late Randy Coulture. These guys grew up with Jack since grade school. No matter what life changes occurred from then through now, these men never left his side! A little later, came Nelson and Kevin. Our family is very grateful to these great men! Jack lived his life to the fullest.
Jack is survived by his parents Leon and Eloise Garcia, sister Rosemary Garcia, his twin sister Jackie and husband Cedric Valdez, brother Dennis and wife Madeline Garcia, nephew Garrett Garcia, nieces Gabriella, Nevaeh and Victoria Valdez, biological mother Linda Moreno and a half brother Danny Martinez.
Viewing will be held at 6 pm and service at 7 pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2 pm, all held at Providence Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be cousins and close friends to Jack. Cousins: Arthur Moreno, Roy Moreno, Daniel Moreno, Keith Moreno, Conner Moreno, Cameron Moreno, Chris O ’Campo, Fabian Magana III, David Magana, Lance Magana and Heith Hernandez. Friends: Heath Scruggs, Josh Ochoa, Brian Jackson, Nelson Parker and Kevin Kiesling.
